In contrast with the original cover photo shot in daylight, for the 5th-anniversary visual refresh of Khalid’s Billboard #1 album American Teen, we want to show the passage of time with a sunset-inspired color and visual aesthetic. Using originally shot drone and handheld footage of Khalid's hometown of El Paso, Texas, we edited looping visuals together emulating the themes of the album and the cyclic nature of time.

American Teen: The Yearbook is a microsite that served as the virtual hub for all content, activations, AR/Digital, etc for the anniversary of American Teen. In the style of a classic high school yearbook, this site served as the 2017 time capsule of Khalid's debut.
